Get ready, ACR Stormers community! The Squad Showdown is here, and it’s set to be one of the most exciting team competitions we’ve ever seen. With teams of five Stormers going head-to-head over the next two months, this challenge promises intense poker action, a bit of friendly rivalry, and some seriously big prizes on the line.
The Squad Showdown kicks off on Thursday, October 31st at 3pm ET, featuring x2 $22 buy-in games every Thursday. One game will be No-Limit Hold’em (NLH) and the other will be Pot-Limit Omaha (PLO), each with a $1,000 guarantee. The best part? Knocking out a teammate in the squad game will earn you a $55 ticket—so expect some epic battles as players look to grab every point possible!
Squad Showdown Details:
- Team Format: Each team will consist of five players, including a Captain who will earn double points for their squad.
- Double the Action: Each week will feature two games—NLH and PLO, running simultaneously.
- KO Incentive: Knock out a teammate and collect a $55 ticket! This twist ensures there’s no soft play and that every knockout counts.
- Streaming Requirement: All games must be streamed on Twitch. Players can miss up to 2 out of the 8 weeks of games.
- Grand Prize: The winning team at the end of the two-month showdown will receive a $630 ticket each.
But here’s the kicker: with the strong participation we’ve seen with our 46-player roster, 7 teams have been formed! Because of this amazing turnout, the prize pool has been upgraded to a $2,650 Venom seat for each member of the winning team! That’s 5 Venom seats up for grabs in total—one for each member of the winning squad!
