Race 500 A/B Shifts Into a New Format
The Race 500 A/B games have gone through a few important changes over the years, and the newest version may be the strongest fit yet for the ACR Community.
Back in January, Race A/B moved away from standard NLH and became a PKO doubleheader. That change added bounty action and gave players a fresh reason to battle every Tuesday.
But as the format continued to run, one thing became clear: the PKO version did not give the games the best chance to grow the way we hoped.
Now, as of June 2026, Race 500 A/B has moved into a new rebuy/add-on structure designed to keep more players in the action and give the games a better chance to build stronger prize pools.
What Changed
- Two simultaneous Race games: Race A and Race B run at the same time every Tuesday, giving players two leaderboard-linked games to chase.
- Unlimited re-entries: Players can jump back in and keep the race alive.
- Double rebuys: More chances to rebuild a stack and stay competitive.
- Extended rebuy/add-on window: Rebuy and add-on options remain available for one level after late registration closes.
- No KO or PKO bounties: The focus is now on building the prize pool, surviving the race, and climbing the leaderboard.
Better for the Players, Better for the Race
This updated structure helps create deeper games, stronger fields, and more meaningful leaderboard action.
More players staying involved longer means more competition, more late-game pressure, and more chances for the Race to become the kind of weekly community event it was meant to be.
Reaching the guarantee matters because it helps support future improvements, stronger community events, and more opportunities for players. Every entry, rebuy, add-on, and invite helps move the Race forward.
