This past week, Stormer, Dayjahvue, celebrated her birthday with the ACR Twitch Poker Community. She always brings excitement and creativity to her streams and this one was no different! Enjoy her retelling of the excitement.
The mantra “Never, Never, Never give up” echoes in my ears, a sentiment I’ve encountered countless times.
This past weekend was meticulously planned for a diverse array of tournaments, all in preparation for the monumental $630.00 WOSS 200k PKO event – a ticket graciously secured through an ACR_Poker raffle win.
Saturday unfolded with a series of intense $5 and $15 jackpots, my bankroll spinning between $10 and $90, with victorious outcomes more often than not. The evening Twitch stream was a highlight, featuring a $1600 bonus hunt. While the overall loss stood at 15%, the experience was thoroughly enjoyable.
In the midst of the stream, a stroke of luck during the “spin to win” segment awarded me a $630.00 tournament entry for a mere 77 pennies. Swiftly, I converted it to tournament bucks. Further spins led to claiming a $109.00 prize, securing a minimum cash.
The excitement didn’t wane as I progressed to day 2 of the $16.50 Mystery Bounty tournament. Undoubtedly, it became the most exhilarating competition of the day, punctuated by a thrilling moment when the mystery bounty unveiled itself, yielding a $40 reward and an additional cash.
Then came Monday – the pinnacle, the $200k $630.00 PKO. The first hand played, a triumphant victory ensued, allowing me to exhale. However, fortune took a turn when, armed with Queens (QQs) and a flopped set, I faced off against AX hearts, only to witness my opponent complete a flush and abruptly end the dream. Yet, the adage “Never, Never, Never give up” reverberated in my mind.
Undeterred, I held my head high and promptly registered for the $22 PKO PLO8. After five hours of strategic gameplay, I found myself heads up with a commanding 75% of the chips. Despite my opponent’s proposal for a deal, I stood firm. His bounty was too substantial to relinquish. The first hand of the final showdown saw him go all-in, and with a strong PLO8 hand, I couldn’t resist. The result? A victorious moment, claiming $494.30 – a fitting birthday gift to myself!
